DECEMBER 2023 | SMHR 2023 has just wrapped up and it was a great success for our PRE-EMPT team! A large group of PhD students, EMCRs, and senior researchers from PRE-EMPT flew to Perth last week to attend the 43rd Annual Society for Mental Health Research (SMHR) Conference. Under the theme ‘People and Place’, we presented results and updates on our current work ranging from polygenic risk scores to detection of suicidal thoughts and behaviours.
We wish to congratulate our PhD student Josh Nguyen for receiving the SMHR interstate travel grant! Congratulations, Josh! And, we want to thank our collaborator Esdras Raposo de Almeida for flying all the way from the Netherlands to join us in our symposium!
