The SPEAK study rationale and design: A linguistic corpus-based approach to understanding thought disorder

March 14, 2023

New SPEAK study published in Schizophrenia Research.

This paper discusses the rationale and methodology of a prospective study which aims to develop automated tools characterising language changes across stages of psychosis.
This study will help to refine our understanding of language dysfunction in the typical population, those in psychosis risk states, and those experiencing psychosis. This understanding may help inform prediction and intervention strategies.
